Smiley Boy
I've been really bad about updating lately. Sorry! I have a ton of new pictures but I haven't had time to post and unfortunately I'm really tired tonight so all you are getting are the super cute pictures I took of Jake today. What does it say about my kid that I had to pretend to hurt myself and say "ouch" to get him to smile for the pictures?

Jacob is 13 Months Old Today
Jake had his first haircut today. Unfortunately I forgot to bring the camera. He didn't like it very much. He cried the whole time. :( I did take some after shots (it looks so short to me - I guess I'd gotten used to his longer hair).
Post haircut pics:

Jake, you've only been home three months but you've learned so much in that time. Here is a list of just some of the things you've learned to do:
walk
pick up food and feed yourself (you love, love, love cheese)
play peekaboo
wave hi and goodbye
say mama (you used to say ama)
stack blocks not just knock them over
You also understand just about everything I say to you. When I say "do you want to eat (insert name of meal here)" you go right over to your highchair. When I start to sing "if you're happy and you know it" you know when to clap. If you hold up a book and I tell you to bring it to mama to read you bring me the book.
You try to figure out how everything works. You love music (even my crappy singing).
I am so lucky to be your mommy! :)
Here are a few additional pre-haircut pics:
"playing the cymbals"

"rough housing" with cousin Max

splashing in the tub (this one is my favorite!)
